Colombia Leads Miami’s Real Estate Searches by International Market
For the fourth consecutive month, Colombia has earned the lead in real estate searches in Miami, according to the latest statistical report released on May 12, 2016, by Miamire.com.
Trailing behind Colombia in number of searches was Venezuela and the United Kingdom in third, which hit its highest search on the website, according to the report. Of foreign transactions, Colombians has a total of 10 percent, Venezuelans had 13 percent and Brazilians had 12 percent.
In the report, not only are Colombians in the lead of searches, but they tied with Argentina’s average house purchased price of $516,000 and right behind Brazilian’s average purchase price of $766,000 in Miami.
Prior to Colombia taking the lead in searches, Brazil was number one for 13 consecutive months. This time last year searching Miamire.com, Brazil was number one, Colombia was ranked number two, Venezuela was ranked number three and United Kingdom was not even in the top ten.
According to realtor.com, South Florida (which includes Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach) is ranked number four for International Consumers in the U.S. Of the world’s ten-largest regions, South Florida ranked as “a top-five market.” In four of those regions, South Florida was the most searched by South America, Caribbean, Southern Europe, and Western Asia.
