Phil Collins Buys J Lo’s Former Miami Beach Home
It’s just another day in paradise for Phil Collins. On Monday, June 15 he closed on a Miami Beach mansion that was once owned by Jennifer Lopez. The $33 million home sits boasts seven bedrooms and 200-feet of private waterfront space on Biscayne Bay.
The seller purchased the home from J. Lo. in 2005 for a mere $13.9 million. He quickly began renovations, but worked to keep the original Mediterranean-style in tact so that it would be true to when the home was built in the 1920’s. Renovations included creating a massive master suite that with its closet is an estimated 1,000 square feet.
The mansion sits on over an acre, an amenity that is said to have really appealed to Collins. In addition, the home is lushly landscaped for all-around privacy. And when Collins is ready to really “feel it in the air tonight,” he can enjoy a lavish 60-foot long swimming pool with spa and cabana with an outdoor kitchen. The waterfront home also features a private dock.
Collins also has a home in New York, but reportedly purchased the Miami Beach mansion to be closer to his sons who live in Florida.
